Confirming purchases the selected carrier service. It does not change the customer quote, invoice or payment status.
If the item is genuinely on the shelf but a stock take has not counted it yet, ship it anyway and record why. Count this item at the next stock take.
The order goes back to the To-Ship queue. If it was recorded as shipped, that record is reversed and any deducted stock returned. The invoice and payment are not touched. This is not a customer return - use Raise RMA for those.
